The Fourth Annual

NORTH BAY BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

The 4th Annual Virtual North Bay Bluegrass Festival will take place in various venues in and around Marin and Sonoma Counties from Wednesday, January 24th, through Sunday, February 11th, 2007. With the original spirit of the San Francisco Bluegrass and Old-Time Festival (SFBOTF) in mind, Carltone Music pulled together this festival from shows that were mostly already on the books. There will be concerts and jams, and at most of the shows there are no age restrictions. Some of the highlights in January are The Frontmen at the Larkspur Cafe Theatre on the 24th, Homespun Rowdy and The Barefoot Nellies at Sweetwater on the 25th, The David Thom Band on the 26th at Murphy's in Sonoma, The 32nd Annual Cloverdale Old-Time Fiddle Contest on the 27th, The Whutknotts on the 27th and Rita Hosking & Cousin Jack on the 28th at Murphy's, The Dust Bowl Cavaliers on the 30th and Town Mountain on February 1st at Peri's in Fairfax, The Pine Needles at the Larkspur Cafe Theatre on February 3rd, Adobe Creek Bluegrass on February 9th and The Acmes on the 10th at Murphy's, Peter Rowan and Keystone Crossing at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station on the 9th, and lots more to come.

Some of the venues included are Sweetwater, Larkspur Cafe Theatre, The Dance Palace, Murphy's Irish Pub, Willowbrook Ale House, The Black Rose Pub, Iron Springs Brewery, Peri's Silver Dollar Saloon, Cloverdale Fairgrounds, and The Coffee Catz.
