The Third Annual

NORTH BAY BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

The 3rd Annual Virtual North Bay Bluegrass Festival will take place in various venues in and around Marin and Sonoma Counties from Wednesday, January 25th, through Sunday, February 12th, 2006. With the original spirit of the San Francisco Bluegrass and Old-Time Festival (SFBOTF) in mind, Carltone Music pulled together this festival from shows that were mostly already on the books. There will be concerts and jams, and at most of the shows there are no age restrictions. Some of the highlights in January are John Reischman & The Jaybirds headlining and Cliff & Julia Landis opening at Sweetwater in Mill Valley on the 25th, John and Nathan McEuen at the 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley on the 26th, Dr. Elmo & Wild Blue at Murphy's in the town of Sonoma on the 28th, David Thom's Pickin' Parlor (with guests Belle Monroe and Ted Silverman) at Iron Springs Brewery on the 28th, Rita Hosking and Cousin Jack at Murphy's on the 29th, The Dry Branch Fire Squad at the Sausalito Presbyterian Church on the 29th, Peter Rowan & Keystone Crossing at The Larkspur Cafe Theatre in Larkspur on February 3rd, and Old School Freight Train and David Jacobs-Strain at Sweetwater on February 8th.

Some of the venues included are Sweetwater, Murphy's Irish Pub, The Larkspur Cafe Theatre, The 142 Throckmorton Theatre, Willowbrook Ale House, Marin Coffee Roasters, The Black Rose Pub, The Iron Springs Brewery, Peri's Silver Dollar, Cloverdale Fairgrounds, The San Geronimo Cultural Center, Subud Hall and The Coffee Catz.

Discover new venues, make new friends, and enjoy the great music! No age restrictions except for Sweetwater and Peri's, where you must be at least 21 to attend.
