The Second Annual NORTH BAY BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
The 2nd Annual Virtual North Bay Bluegrass Festival will take place in various venues in and around Marin and Sonoma Counties from Thursday, February 10, through Saturday, February 26, 2005. With the original spirit of the San Francisco Bluegrass and Old-Time Festival (SFBOTF) in mind, Carltone Music pulled together this festival from shows that were mostly already on the books. There will be concerts and jams, and at most of the shows there are no age restrictions. Some of the highlights are Peter Rowan & Tony Rice at The Mystic Theatre in Petaluma on the 20th, the Sweethearts of the Radio show with David and Sam Grisman and Trace Bigelow and others in Pt. Reyes on the 12th, John Reischman & The Jaybirds with Kathy Kallick and Paul Shelasky at Sweetwater in Mill Valley on the 15th, The Papermill Creek Rounders on the 16th at the Iron Springs Brewery in Fairfax, Eric & Suzy Thompson at Rancho Nicasio on the 13th, Railroad Earth at The Mystic on the 13th, and The Roadoilers and The Acme String Ensemble at Sweetwater on the 22nd. The venues included are Sweetwater, Murphy's Irish Pub, Mystic Theatre, Rancho Nicasio, Dance Palace, Point Reyes Station House, Café Amsterdam, Willowbrook Ale House, Coffee Catz, Marin Coffee Roasters, The Rose Pub, Bagley's Marketplace, and The Iron Springs Brewery. For the complete schedule, click here. Discover new venues, make new friends, and enjoy the great music! No age restrictions except for Sweetwater and 19 Broadway, where you must be at least 21 to attend.
